抄録: | The purpose of this study is to reveal tasks of “Tokyo 2020”, the second Summer Olympic Games held in Tokyo, from the viewpoint of the theory of space in sport. So far Japan, Korea and China held the Summer Olympic Games in Asia, mainly functioning as political and economic means. However, in addition to athletes competing and connecting, possibilities of how the event can influence society will be in demand for “Tokyo 2020”. Therefore, in this study, the space of sport was divided into “in-court” and “off-court”, and related to actual society, the importance of communication “off-court” was indicated. In order to convey messages and form missions of “Tokyo 2020”, the cultural characteristics of sport should be considered important, and it is essential to understand how these values – according to the theory of “lemma” resulting from a free will and intuition – influence people’s lifestyles. In this sense, Japan as the host of “Tokyo 2020” and as mature society, is expected to play a leading role to foster “Jita-kyoei (mutual prosperity)” among Asian countries, and in addition is responsible for “connecting” the model of proactive pacifism, which sport is able to transmit, to society. |
