Abstract: | Italy is one of the most suffered country by the pandemic of the Covid-19, as the first region to which the epidemical explosion reached out of China. By the unprecedented emergency has been almost completely changed the social life in Italy and it showed that most of Italian people were able to keep the regulations ordered by government. Because the pro-China ex-prime minister succeeded to get the higher rate of the cabinet approval making an address to have the people got the unity and solidarity. While EU had much difficulty to support member countries in the pandemic of throughout Europe, China has quickly decided to lend a helping hand for Italy because there has been a closed bilateral relationship for a long period. In this context, Italy seems to be a very particular country in Europe keeping the diplomatic balanced position as a gateway to Europe from Asia. The pandemic of Covid-19 makes aware of us such a geopolitical specificity of Italy and it would be useful to recognize the power balance of the European countries more correctly focusing on Italian diplomatic strategy after pandemic. |
