Abstract: | This article is a record of lectures on Japanese prime ministers who appeared in the approximately 30 years of the Heisei era. First, Akio Watanabe amongst other prime ministers, mainly discussed Kiichi Miyazawa, comparing him with Hayato Ikeda and Masayoshi Ohira. Next, Noriko Akiyama talked about her observations on the personalities of Ryutaro Hashimoto, Keizo Obuchi, Junichiro Koizumi, Yoshihiko Noda and, Shinzo Abe, based on her interviews with these leaders. Taizo Miyagi discussed the characteristics of Heisei era in the context of Japanese political history and international relations over the Asia-Pacific region. |
