成蹊学園のソメイヨシノ標準木の開花日予想について

Abstract

成蹊学園で観測されている1927年からのソメイヨシノ開花日（二分咲）データのうち，最近の約30年間について，簡便法と，より精密な方法について，気温データに基づく開花日予測の可能性を調べた．両者の方法とも，ある程度の精度で開花日予測が可能である．これを用いて，身近な市民レベルでの観測により，東京のヒートアイランド現象あるいは地球温暖化の影響についての桜の開花日の観測をSDGsやESD教材として利用できる可能性を示した．The possibility of predicting the blooming period of ‘Someiyoshino’ cherry trees (Prunus yedoensis) for the last 30 years, which has been observed at Seikei Family of Schools since 1927, was investigated using a simple method and a more precise method. Both methods are capable of predicting the blooming period. We show the possibility of these methods for teaching materials for SDGs and ESD to realize the heat island phenomenon in Tokyo or global warming through familiar observations at the citizen's science level.
